In the continuation of his efforts to develop a positive dynamic for a nuclear disarmament, President Obama hosts an extraordinary summit on nuclear security on the 12th and 13th of April at Washington. 47 delegations are present among which seven represent nuclear States. However, it is unfortunate that the main worrying countries concerned by this issue (North Korea, Iran and Syria) have been not invited to attend this meeting.
Through this conference President Obama will call the different States to join a policy in favor of a reinforcement of the nuclear material security within four years. This issue has been raised after the 9/11 terrorist attacks and the development of concerns about the attempts of Al Qaeda to acquire some weapons of mass destruction. Risks of collusion between Pakistani nuclear scientists and members of Taliban have been incited the Bush Administration to allocate financial and technical help to Pakistan for more than 100 millions dollars.
