This event will be hosted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Poland and is organized by IKV Pax Christi and Group for Research and Information on Peace and Security (GRIP) The aim of this Side Event is to provide opportunity for delegates and other interested parties to share their experiences on previous efforts in implementing regional arms transfer policies, such as the ECOWAS Convention on Small Arms and Light Weapons or the EU Common Position on Arms Transfers. This experience sharing intends to contribute to a better understanding of the challenges ahead and the benefits that can come out of implementing an ATT.

Members of the Permanent Missions, Secretariat staff and representatives of non-governmental organizations with access to the United Nations are invited to attend.
